All her life, Della's secret powers have made her feel separated from her human family. Now, she's where she belongs, at Shadow Falls. With the help of her best friends Kylie and Miranda, she’ll try to prove herself in the paranormal world as an investigator—all the while trying to figure out her own heart. Should she chose Chase, a powerful vampire with whom she shares a special bond? Or Steve, the hot shapeshifter whose kisses make her weak in the knees? When a person with dark connection to her past shows up, it’ll help her decide which guy to choose–and make her question everything she knows about herself.

From bestselling author C.C. Hunter comes Eternal—a must-read for fans of the Shadow Falls series—and the sequel to Reborn.

Ratings4star

Life at Shadow Falls is continuing to be confusing for the fresh Reborn vamp Della Tsang. Just when she thought she might be able to get her life back together and get the guy, things turn for the worst. In the first book of this spin-off series of the Shadow Falls series, which follows the life of Kylie Galen, Della’s chameleon friend, Della finds herself struggling between two guys, the possibility of dying hanging over her head. She learns that she is part of a vampire ancestry that can be reborn into new and improved vampires, but not without a price. Chase, a Reborn himself and Della’s self-proclaimed enemy, opts to save her and officially becomes bonded to him.

The second book in the series picks right up where the first left off. Della and Chase are bonded and, even though she doesn’t want to admit it, she can feel her emotions for Chase changing. No longer does she think of him as the “Panty Perv” and maybe he is “loosing some of his warts,” becoming more of the Prince that she needs – especially after Steve leaves her for a fancy school in Paris. However, not only does she have her complicated love-life to deal with, but a new ghost is trying to get her to “Save Natasha” and Chase is involved.

Once again, she is stuck beside a guy who she contemplates even liking most of the time – or so she tells herself – and she can’t help but need him to finish this case.

Shadow Falls is a wonderful series, which I would recommend to anyone who loves paranormal fiction. Shadow Falls: After Dark is living up to its predecessor and should be added to your must-be-read pile! Della is feisty and sarcastic and teaches us that it is okay to hold your ground, especially if it is for the right reasons. Whereas everyone needs a little Kylie Galen in them, everyone also needs a little bit of a “Della’tude” (as quoted on C.C. Hunter’s blog) in them as well.

Also, if you’re in the mood to be hanging on the edge of your seat, just wait until the last couple of chapters. No spoilers, however, you might want to yell and scream at some particular characters as questions arise and trust is betrayed in the novel.

In other words, READ IT!

      Hi Kim,
Look to your right and subscribe via the section in the toolbar instead of the email symbol above. I’m still learning all this HTML stuff. Even after 1 year! 🙂
